L(+)-Tartaric Acid
L(+)-Tartaric Acid is widely used as an acidulant in beverages, confectionery, food and pharmaceutical formulations, and in the food industry it can also be used as an antioxidant and synergist. Due to its effective chelating properties for metal ions, it is used in agriculture and metal industry to clean metal surfaces and complex trace elements, respectively, and in the pharmaceutical field, it is mainly used as a fractionant of chiral drugs, a drug salting agent, a raw material for drug synthesis, etc. It is widely bound to bicarbonate as an acid component of effervescent granules, powders, and tablets.
